Mediation

Mediation is an alternative to going to court for parting couples who want to resolve their legal dispute with respect in an atmosphere that promotes cooperation and consideration for the needs of both participants.

Mediation happens in the office where people can discuss their legal challenges in a safe and structured environment. The Mediator stays “neutral” and does not advocate for or legally represent either person, but will prepare and file the legal documents required to obtain a final legal settlement.

Mediation is private resolution for people who want to maintain their autonomy and avoid public record of the most intimate details of their relationship.

Mediation reduces the economic and emotional costs of a traditional divorce by helping families settle their dispute without the need for unnecessary motions and court appearances.

“In helping clients decide which process to pursue, I look at the parties’ legal issues, their relationship dynamics, emotional needs, and financial constraints. I believe educating my clients about their options empowers them during this major life transition.”
