Since collaborative professionals work as a team, they generally are members of a regional “practice group” consisting of attorneys, divorce coaches, financial specialists, and child specialists. CPEB is the practice group for Alameda and Contra Costa Counties and includes team members who are committed to and subscribe to the CPEB and IACP (see below) “Principles and Guidelines of Collaborative Practice” which includes, among other things, an agreement in writing to stay out of court, to freely exchange information, and to decline representation of collaborative clients in any adversarial proceedings.

ACBA provides training and oversight to the members of the legal community of Alameda County and offers a variety of services to the general public including free and low-cost legal services through the Volunteer Legal Services Program, and screened referrals to private attorneys through the Lawyer Referral Service.

A non-profit agency dedicated to serving Alameda County victims of domestic violence with legal representation and support services at low or no cost. There is no income eligibility requirement.
